At the age of 23 built an innovative financial intermediary for emerging markets and after launching in 6 countries with 7 offices and 120 employees, we sold that business successfully 7 years later.
Started as an investment banking analyst at JP Morgan in London and Johannesburg after graduating with a degree in Biochemistry for Oxford University.
Attended the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Program in 2009 which together with the Social Enterprise Network within the Young Presidents Organisation encouraged me to engage actively in impact investment.
By 2009 I made several investments that would now qualify as “impact or sustainable investments”: Keith White South Africa (www.keithwhite.co.za), Osmosis Investment Management UK (www.osmosisim.com), Halsted (www.halsted.co.za) part of Ardmore Ceramics South Africa (www.ardmoreceramics.co.za). All these investments prove that you can deliver on both impact and significant financial growth and return within a business.
MSc Biochemistry, Oxford University
I fundamentally believe that any good business needs to consider performing in several key (nonfinancial) areas to deliver on financially sustainable results. There has been a global need to create a professional intermediary that identifies such good businesses and acts as a catalyst for capital investments to flow readily into these entrepreneurs and businesses. Furthermore, there is now an increasing demand to assist overburdened investors in selecting these business opportunities to position themselves for future growth and prosperity in an ever changing world.
