For me, consulting in the developing world is primarily about people. Beyond the technical aspects of the work, there are the people we interact with and their unique experiences. And what I have learned is that, in order to do a good job, first of all, you have to listen to the person in front of you. Only a good understanding of their vision and the challenges they are facing within a specific environment will bring clarity about the best road to take forward.
