Summer Analyst or Summer Associate, Enclude Capital Advisory

Enclude ( is an advisory firm dedicated to building inclusive and prosperous local economies. We provide integrated capacity and capital services that help clients and partners design, connect, finance and build solutions that generate sustainable business results and positive social and environmental outcomes. Enclude’s staff and affiliated consultants work in four registered offices (Netherlands, United States, United Kingdom, and Pakistan) and in project locations across the world, including Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe and Central Asia.

Enclude’s Capital Advisory develops capital solutions for social enterprises, sustainable financial institutions, and impact fund managers, investors and funders. We are a team of 10 impact investing professionals – based in London, Zeist and Washington, DC – tackling global and local challenges that require creative, hands-on and people-focused approach to capital in order to unlock positive impact for all stakeholders.

We deploy our signatory approach in the following areas: (i) capital structuring, (ii) capital raising, (iii) M&A advisory, (iv) capital strategy, (v) fund design and (vi) other transaction related services in the impact investing industry, such as loan fund servicing, third party due diligence and investor relations.

In providing these services, the Capital Advisory team is integrated with colleagues in Enclude’s Capacity Solutions practice – for purposes of knowledge sharing and developing the transaction pipeline – and also works closely with Enclude’s regional offices and representatives.

We are a regulated business, authorized to conduct corporate finance work in the UK by the FCA.

Enclude is seeking a Summer Analyst and/or Summer Associate with experience in investment banking, private equity or consulting and strong interest in impact investing.

Job description

This position is designed as a potential path to full-time employment and a career in a transaction environment within the growing impact investing market. The Summer Analyst/Associate will become part of project teams, usually working on two to four projects at a time, and will support more general business development and practice building efforts. 

  • Project Execution

The Summer Analyst/Associate will participate in selected ongoing projects – typically across various service lines – with tasks including:

    • Market research, business and financial analyses
    • Preparation of workshop/meeting presentations, marketing materials, and financial models
    • Support in project management, including participation in and documentation of calls with clients and investors, making arrangements for due diligence, data room maintenance, etc.
  • Business Development and Practice Building

The Summer Analyst/Associate will also spend a portion of time on internal practice building and business development efforts with tasks including:

    • Participation in Enclude conference calls, including weekly pipeline calls, and assistance in tracking and monitoring of pipeline developments
    • Research, drafting, editing and formatting of proposals and conference presentations
    • Contribution to the knowledge base of the team and improvement of internal processes and tools
    • If required from time to time, to work with other Enclude practices within the Capacity Solutions business, for example on proposal development or financial modelling tasks

  • Sound understanding of financial modelling

Expected Time Commitment

  • This is a full-time position with an expected commitment of approximately 40 hours per week
  • This is a paid internship, with remuneration depending on the level of experience of the candidate
  • The internship is for a minimum period of three months
